A portrait series exploring the space between two people who share a face. Sorum photographed twins in New York and Los Angeles, and on location at twins festivals in Twinsburg, Ohio and Lake Tahoe, Nevada — capturing what connects them and what distinguishes them.

"I have always been fascinated with twins because I think we all have another side of ourselves within each of us — an inner dialogue. But with twins it is also external. Observing and often feeling the same things, yet there is a tangible, real relationship. I imagine that to be great comfort in life. And at times, I am sure, a pain in the ass."

John Mark Sorum has shot for Visionaire, W, NY Times Magazine, Surface, and Flaunt.
